Web Communications (Project Based Learning) (TCH055)
This semester-long course for high school freshmen is an exploratory course in web communications. It explores and delves into applications encompassing: digital citizenship, information literacy, creative credit and copyright, online and in-person collaboration, designing and developing accessible websites as an avenue to personal creativity, and understanding structural aspects of computing (e.g., hardware, servers, devices, file organization). The course is taught utilizing a project-based learning (PBL) approach. Each unit of the course is broken down into lessons. Lessons consist of video tutorials, short quizzes, example web pages to explore, and web design exercises in which students develop and publish their own web sites. Each lesson includes at least one formative short multiple choice quiz. At the end of each unit, students take a summative multiple choice unit quiz that assesses their knowledge of the concepts covered in the unit.$450.00

TCH110B Computer Science: JavaScript I is a CodeHS course that covers the second semester of the Introduction to Computer Science in JavaScript course series. Concepts covered in the course include functions, animation, and games.
