Kindergarten students begin to develop observation skills as they learn about the five senses, the earth’s composition, and the basic needs of plants and animals.
Students perform experiments to develop skills of observation and analysis, and learn how scientists understand the world. They demonstrate how pulleys lift heavy objects, make a temporary magnet and test its strength, and analyze the parts of a flower.
Following the timeline of the K12 History program, second grade Art lessons introduce students to the art and architecture of ancient Rome, medieval Europe, Islam, Mexico, Africa, China, and Japan.
