This course is designed as an exploration of career pathways in Sales and Promotion. In this course students explore basic concepts in the broad areas within the National Career Clusters® Framework, as well as career option. Students study the concepts of the sales profession, the role of sales in marketing, understanding customer needs, communication, the selling process, and more.

This course will introduce students to the Health care industry, its environment along with the day to day skill set, and knowledge required to fulfill a position as a Medical Administrative Assistant. In this course, you will be introduced to teaching group exercise classes and providing rehabilitation services to clients facing injury and disease. You will also learn about laws that govern the work of sports medicine professionals, business concerns like insurance and staffing, and what you need to consider if you start your own fitness facility. This course surveys key topics in forensic science, including the application of the scientific process to forensic analysis, procedures and principles of crime scene investigation, physical and trace evidence, and the law and courtroom procedures from the perspective of the forensic scientist. Through online lessons, laboratories, and analysis of fictional crime scenarios, students learn about forensic tools, technical resources, forming and testing hypotheses, proper data collection, and responsible conclusions.

Building on the prior prerequisite course, students will examine the form and function of even more body systems. Students will learn about the structure, function, and interrelation between the lymphatic, immune, respiratory, digestive, urinary, and the endocrine systems. The reproductive system is also discussed along with hereditary traits and genetics. Finally, students will explore the importance of accurate patient documentation as well as technology used in the industry.

Increase your understanding about the form and function of the human body! Starting with the relationship between anatomy and physiology, you will then learn about cell structure and their processes. Discover the functions and purposes of the skeletal, muscular, nervous, and cardiovascular systems as well as diseases that affect those systems. Becoming familiar with the terminology of the human body is essential to those pursuing health sciences or wanting to gain a greater sense of how the human body works.

Our lives are guided and regulated by our society's legal expectations. Consumer laws help protect us from faulty goods; criminal laws help protect society from individuals who harm others; and family law handles the arrangements and issues that arise in areas like divorce and child custody. This course focuses on the creation and application of laws in various areas of society.

Students explore their options for life after high school and implement plans to achieve their goals. They identify their aptitudes, skills, and preferences, and explore a wide range of potential careers. They investigate the training and education required for the career of their choice, and create a plan to be sure that their work in high school is preparing them for the next step. They also receive practical experience in essential skills such as searching and applying for college, securing financial aid, writing a resume and cover letter, and interviewing for a job.

This advanced high school physics course surveys all key areas: physical systems, measurement, kinematics, dynamics, momentum, energy, thermodynamics, waves, electricity, and magnetism, and introduces students to modern physics topics such as quantum theory and the atomic nucleus. Additional honors assignments include debates, research papers, extended collaborative laboratories, and virtual laboratories. This science course gives a solid basis for moving on to more advanced college physics courses.This is the second semester of SCI404.
