This is the second semester of a two part course, offered over a condensed 4 week term.
Students read selections from British and world literature in a loosely organized chronological framework. They analyze the themes, styles, and structures of these texts and make thematic connections among diverse authors, periods, and settings. Students complete guided and independent writing assignments that refine their analytical skills. They have opportunities for creative expression in projects of their choice. Students also practice test-taking skills for standardized assessments in critical reading and writing.

Students continue their study of Chinese by further expanding their knowledge of key vocabulary topics and grammar concepts. Students not only begin to comprehend listening and reading passages more fully, but they also start to express themselves more meaningfully in both speaking and writing. Each unit consists of a new vocabulary theme and grammar concept, reading and listening comprehension activities, speaking and writing activities, multimedia cultural presentations, and interactive activities and practices which reinforce vocabulary and grammar. This is the second semester of WGL240.

This course is designed as an exploration of career pathways in Sales and Promotion. In this course students explore basic concepts in the broad areas within the National Career Clusters® Framework, as well as career option. Students study the concepts of the sales profession, the role of sales in marketing, understanding customer needs, communication, the selling process, and more.
